16 Hour Wilderness First Aid BSA / 24 Hour EMS Wilderness Upgrade Course EMS Professional.

Priority Medical Training (PMT) is offering to the BSA the Wilderness First Aid course for scouts and scouters. Course Cost is 120.00 BSA or 150.00 for EMS personnel for a 2 day Course at Camp Jackson. Meals will be provided on Saturday and Sunday and is included in the price along with the Field Guide for the BSA.

Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill person in a remote environment where rapid or immediate transport is not readily available.  PMT offers the course to any scout or scouter 13 years of age and older.  PMT’s is a secondary education school and staffed with instructors from a variety of backgrounds including Paramedic, Advanced EMT and Wilderness Instructors. 

The Course covers a variety of modules to include:

Patient assessment in the field
Field triage
Assessment and treatment by body system
Common wilderness injuries and illnesses
Search and Rescue
Remote Wilderness Care
Course Information:

Course taught by ECSI certified instructors from Priority Medical Training
Location:  BSA Camp Jackson, Scottsboro AL.
This will be a primitive camping experience, so you will need a tent and a sleeping bag.
Dates:  November 3-5 2017
Cost:  $120.00 BSA (includes course book, and all meals)
EMS price is 150.00 includes meals and course materials.
Additional books are available for purchase the price is 20.00
For EMS professionals we are offering a Wilderness upgrade starting Friday night starting at 7:00 pm 11-3-2017
This Course is conducted at Camp Jackson.  The Restrooms will be open and Kitchen.  Please be prepared for the weather as it will be November.  Staff will be at Jackson on Nov 3rd after 5:00 pm. The BSA course will start at 10:00 am Saturday and go till Sunday at 5:00 pm.
